13:19:

At 18 h CET the women will start their first run in Panorama's slalom. We will be there on time, of course. See you!

17:38:

Welcome to the ladies' slalom in Panorama (CAN)! In less than half an hour we'll see the first starter in this World Cup competition in the Canadian Rocky Mountains.

17:42 - Schild, Marlies (AUT):

Last year, Marlies Schild dominated the races in Panorama. After having won the first slalom of this season on the Reiteralm, the Austrian is one of the top favorites today as well.

17:46 - Hosp, Nicole (AUT):

Schild's biggest opponents are again her teammates: Nicole Hosp lost the giant slalom yesterday due to a mistake and wants to patch things up today.

17:48 - Zettel, Kathrin (AUT):

We'll have to pay attention to Kathrin Zettel, too. She and other young Austrian skiers are in good shape early in this World Cup period.

17:52 - Costazza, Chiara (ITA):

But even though the last six slalom races were won by the Austrian girls - the victory in Canada is not for free. The Italians have shown strong performances already this year. Maybe Chiara Costazza can surprise everyone today.

17:53 - Zahrobska, Sarka (CZE):

World Champion Sarka Zahrobska, too, wants to show that she can do it, just like Ana Jelusic. Both didn't reach their goals in the first race.

17:54 - Pärson, Anja (SWE):

We shall not forget the strong Scandinavians. Therese Borssen and Anja Pärson from Sweden and Tanja Poutiainen from Finland are all routined skiers, always ready for a top result.

18:03 - Stiegler, Resi (USA):

And what about Resi Stiegler? The snow in the Rockies is more aggressive than in Europe, she could profit there.

18:03 - Borssen, Therese (SWE):

The first one to compete is Therese Borssen. There she is on the course already!

18:05 - Borssen, Therese (SWE):

It's -7 degrees °C, the course is icy. 51.11 seconds, that's the first time in the finish after a few minor difficulties.

18:05 - Zuzulova, Veronika (SVK):

A strong performance of Veronika Zuzulova now! Half a second ahead after the first part. She takes over the lead in the finish.

18:06 - Jelusic, Ana (CRO):

There is more to come still! Ana Jelusic with a good race, she is fast! Another change in lead, Jelusic is over half a second in front!

18:08 - Schild, Marlies (AUT):

Now Marlies Schild, the big favorite. Not a perfect run in the upper part, she is 0.6 seconds behind. But then a sensational race in the final section, Marlies Schild is in front!

18:09 - Hosp, Nicole (AUT):

A sensational run of Marlies Schild, especially in the final part. Now her teammate, Nicole Hosp is on the course. She begins well, but loses time in the final section. 4th so far.

18:10 - Zahrobska, Sarka (CZE):

Sarka Zahrobska is next. She, too, performs well in the steep part, better than Schild. But she is not as strong on the rest of the course - that's the 3rd position so far.

18:12 - Poutiainen, Tanja (FIN):

What shape is Tanja Poutiainen in? A good start, she is 0.4 seconds ahead at the first intermediate. But Schild was extraordinarily strong in the final part: Poutiainen comes in on the 4th position.

18:12 - Pärson, Anja (SWE):

Anja Pärson is not in perfect shape yet. 2 seconds behind in the finish, that's a disappointment for her.

18:13 - Stiegler, Resi (USA):

Resi Stiegler is on a good run in the steep section. But then, like the others before, she loses over a second in the final part!

18:14 - Costazza, Chiara (ITA):

Chiara Costazza was 3rd on the Reiteralm. A solid run now, she is 7th currently.

18:15 - De Leymarie, Florine (FRA):

Florine de Leymarie isn't too fond of this course. Several mistakes throughout the run, that's the last position currently.

18:16 - Bergmann, Monika (GER):

We were supposed to see Monika Bergmann now, but she seems to have cancelled her start. Instead there is Kathrin Zettel on the course, who reaches the 10th position in the finish.

18:18 - Pietilae-Holmner, Maria (SWE):

Maria Pietilae-Holmner is next. She is having difficulties in the final part, too, and comes in on the 14th position.

18:19 - Kirchgasser, Michaela (AUT):

Michaela Kirchgasser is on the course. A good comeback for her so far, she crosses the finish line on the 7th position.

18:20 - Riesch, Maria (GER):

Maria Riesch is the first German on the course today. That doesn't look too bad, a solid run for her. She is 9th currently.

18:21 - Mancuso, Julia (USA):

Next is Julia Mancuso. The speed disciplines are more to her liking. With a margin of 1.8 seconds she is 14th currently.

18:22 - Vonn, Lindsey C. (USA):

Teammate Lindsey Vonn does better: like her friend Maria Riesch, she doesn't lose too much time and comes in slightly ahead of the German.

18:23 - Loeseth, Nina (NOR):

Nina Loeseth finishes her first run with quite a margin as well. 17th so far, but that should be enough for the second run.

18:24 - Gius, Nicole (ITA):

The Italians are in good shape. First to compete is Nicole Gius: A good run, she is 14th currently.

18:25 - Mölgg, Manuela (ITA):

Her teammate Manuela Moelgg is next. An equally solid run of her, she takes over the 14th position.

18:27 - Karasinska, Katarzyna (POL):

That's going to be difficult for Katarzyna Karasinska to reach the second run. Over 3 seconds behind in the finish, that's the last position so far.

18:28 - Fleiss, Nika (CRO):

Nika Fleiss isn't too far behind at the first intermediate. Her margin grows though, it's about 2 seconds in the finish. 17th position for her.

18:29 - Leinonen, Sanni (FIN):

Sanni Leinonen is not in last year's shape yet. She finishes her race on the 22nd position.

18:30 - Richardson, Kaylin (USA):

25 athletes have finished their runs, and there are no drop-outs yet. Kaylin Richardson is 22nd in the finish.

18:32 - Ceresa, Annalisa (ITA):

Annalisa Ceresa begins furiously! Only 0.05 seconds behind, but then she pays tribute to the difficult final part. 1.5 seconds behind, it's the 13th position for her.

18:34 - Hölzl, Kathrin (GER):

Kathrin Hölzl is on the course now. 0.21 seconds behind after the steep part only, a good run there! She, too, loses time in the final section though, and finishes on the 18th postion, about 2 seconds behind Marlies Schild, who is still in lead.

18:36 - Hansdotter, Frida (SWE):

The first drop-out: Frida Hansdotter misses a gate and can't finish her run.

18:38 - Görgl, Elisabeth (AUT):

Elisabeth Goergl is on the course now. Can she repeat yesterday's good result?

18:39 - Görgl, Elisabeth (AUT):

0.74 seconds behind at the first intermediate, that's a lot already. Her margin grows in the final section, in the end she is 27th, almost 3 seconds behind her leading teammate.

18:40 - Fischbacher, Andrea (AUT):

Another Austrian now, Andrea Fischbacher. She, too, is almost a second behind after the steep section. 2.56 seconds, that's position no. 25 so far.

18:41 - Brydon, Emily (CAN):

The crowd is cheering for Emily Brydon. The local hero with difficulties in the steep part, 1.5 seconds lost there already! She can't make up for that in the final section, and is 3.8 seconds behind in the finish. Bad luck, we won't see her again in the second run.

18:45 - Hangl, Celina (SUI):

Two Swiss girls are next. Celina Hangl finishes her race on the 28th position, Aline Bonjour does not reach the second run.

18:50 - Riesch, Susanne (GER):

Susanne Riesch is next. Only a few gates, then she skies out. Bad luck, she does not take part in the second run.

18:51 - Camastral, Aita (SUI):

Aita Camastral with a good performance in the steep part. It's the 24th position in the end, that's the qualification for the second run.

18:55 - Perner, Nina (GER):

Another two Germans, Nina Perner and Fanny Chmelar. Both of them with solid performances, Perner is 28th and Chmelar 25th currently.

19:02 - Nigg, Marina (LIE):

A great run now for Marina Nigg! She is 18th in the finish, and more than happy about such a good result.

21:01:

The course was set by the Italian coach Thoma, 57 gates are to be passed until the finish.

21:02 - Fischbacher, Andrea (AUT):

Andrea Fischbacher is first in this second run. No major mistakes visible, she takes a solid run down to the finish.

21:03 - Lolovic, Jelena (SCG):

Jelena Lolovic is next. A good performance in the first part, where she can keep and even extend her leap. She loses time on the last metres though, and is 0.03 seconds behind in the finish.

21:05 - De Leymarie, Florine (FRA):

FLorine de Leymarie wasn't too happy with her first run. She does not really like the course, but skies impressively now! Almost one second ahead in the finish!

21:06 - Chmelar, Fanny (GER):

Fanny Chmelar is on the course. The young German is good in the steep part, ahead of De Leymarie there! She loses time in the flat section though, and is 2nd in the finish.

21:07 - Camastral, Aita (SUI):

Aita Camastral performed almost surprisingly well in the first run. She begins furiously in the serond run as well, 0.77 seconds ahead at the first intermediate! Almost no time lost in the flat part, that's the new leader!

21:09 - Karbon, Denise (ITA):

Now Denise Karbon, winner of yesterday's Giant Slalom. She is not aggressive enough at the gates - 6th position currently.

21:10 - Loeseth, Nina (NOR):

Nina Loeseth starts with a leap of 0.21 seconds on Camastral. Too many little mistakes though, especially in the flat part. Still, the Norwegian talent is 3rd.

21:11 - Pietilae-Holmner, Maria (SWE):

Maria Pietilae-Holmner is the next athlete on the course. She is having difficulties in the steep part, and drops out right before the first intermediate.

21:12 - Pärson, Anja (SWE):

Anja Pärson, a big name next. The Swedish allrounder is on a good run, although she loses some time in the flat part. Still enough to take over the lead, Pärson is 0.02 seconds ahead of Camastral!

21:13 - Fleiss, Nika (CRO):

Nika Fleiss is trying her best now. A solid run, not too many mistakes. Fleiss is 0.9 seconds behind Pärson, on the 4th position.

21:16 - Aubert, Sandrine (FRA):

Sandrine Aubert hits a ripple right after the start and loses a lot of time there. No top result for her today.

21:17 - Hölzl, Kathrin (GER):

Kathrin Hölzl with insecurities in the first part already, and soon her leap of 0.2 seconds is lost. No drop out, but she reaches the 8th position only.

21:18 - Nigg, Marina (LIE):

Marina Nigg is next. Not a perfect performance in the steep part, but then she shows a strong race in the final flat section. That's the 3rd position currently.

21:19 - Mancuso, Julia (USA):

Now Julia Mancuso. She was 0.25 seconds ahead after the first heat, and has a tiny leap left only at the first intermediate. The flat part slows her down a little more - it's the 4th position for the US girl currently.

21:21 - Gius, Nicole (ITA):

Nicole Gius was 6th yesterday, and 9th in the first slalom of this season. She won't quite get there today, but shows a good performance still. In the finish she is on the 5th position.

21:24 - Mölgg, Manuela (ITA):

Another Italian girl, Manuela Mölgg. She is not a slalom specialist, but improved a lot lately. She's half a second behind in the finish, that's the 4th position.

Michaela Kirchgasser now. The routined Austrian is having a successful comeback so far, and she proves her good shape in this race, as well! Kirchgasser takes over the lead, over half a second ahead of Pärson.

21:31 - Riesch, Maria (GER):

21:36 - Stiegler, Resi (USA):

A dynamic run of Resi Stiegler, who is strong in the steep part. But the flat part is not too much to her liking, she loses time and is 0.02 seconds behind Kirchgasser in the finish.
