At the Arber there will be a women´s giant slalom and slalom this season. It is an interesting question whether the race for the cristal bowls is still open at the end of the winter.

Review: Women´s World Cup in 2007
Marlies Schild celebrated another milestone victory in Zwiesel where she won her seventh slalom of the season with the impressive margin of 2,23 seconds - one of the biggest in recent years. The 25-year-old Austrian from Saalfelden, near Salzburg, clearly dominated the field which only battled for the two other podium finishes. This "other" competition was won by the new slalom champion Sarka Zahrboska and Sweden's veteran Anna Ottosson who tied for 2nd place. In the giant slalom, Tanja Poutiainen finally celebrated another World Cup win where she dominated all her rivals in the last giant slalom prior the Finals at Lenzerheide organized by difficult weather conditions. The 26-year-old skier from Rovaniemi, who clinched the slalom and giant slalom World Cup titles in 2005, beat by mere 11/100 of a second Austria's Nicole Hosp. Michaela Kirchgasser confirmed her strong form with an excellent 3rd place only 14/100 far from another win.

Zwiesel – Not only Famous for its Glass
Who doesn´t know the famous Zwiesel-glass? But of course it´s not the only attraction of the village in the Bavarian Forest. There is much more to see than the art of the glassworks. During the summer the city attracts numerous hikers, mountainbikers and nordic walkers who can enjoy nature in the National Park of the Bavarian Forest close to Zwiesel. The winter offers the whole band of activities on snow and ice. Various slopes, cross country ski runs, skating rinks and the possibilty to explore the surrounding by horse sleigh invite to a sojourn at the Arber.
