Review on 2007
Three races took place in San Sicario in 2007 and by a hair Renate Goetschl had won all competitions there. The speed queen triumphed twice in Super G and downhill on the piste Fraiteve Olympique and became second in the second Super G and so missed her 45th World Cup success. The first Super G replaced the cancelled competition from Altenmarkt-Zauchensee and wasn´t very exciting. Favorites Renate Goetschl and Lindsey Kildow took over the first two places then. Young Austrian Christina Sponring made it to place three on the podium.
In downhill there was an Austrian triple on top. Once again Renate Goetschl won ahead of her team mates Elisabeth Görgl and Maria Holaus. At teh second Super G Lindsey Kildow now Vonn was the best and scored her seventh World Cup victory. Renate Goetschl missed her third strike in a row by a hair but nevertheless she had reason to cheer. It was the 100th arrival on the podium of her career.
