As a succesful organizer of two races of Alpine Skiing World Cup Women in the previous seasons (2006, 2008), Spindleruv Mlyn is fully motivated to get another chance from FIS to
bring „white circuit“ back to the gorgeous valley of the Giant Mountains. The chairman of organizing committee, Mr. Bohumir Zeman, is convinced that Spindleruv Mlyn & Czech alpine skiing are capable of hosting great World Cup races as it was proved this season and two years ago.

Question: Mr. Zeman, how could you evaluate this
season WC event in Spindleruv Mlyn?
Bohumir Zeman: I think we can be very satisfied and very confident about the fact how we did the race. The
Black Slope was prepared in excellent shape, the
organization was perfect and the weather was very
helpful to us. We showed much enthusiasm and passion for organizing this event. As for the competitors‘ opinions, they were very positive ones. Many teams appreciated our hard work - that make us really proud of what we have achieved so far!

Question: As a mayor of Spindleruv Mlyn you can describe the municipality attitude towards World Cup race
in this ski resort...
Bohumir Zeman: I must admit that the partnership between OC and municipality representatives is very close. They have provided us with huge support which means that any
other World Cup event in Spindleruv Mlyn in the future would be truly welcomed by the whole municipality.

Question: Spindleruv Mlyn is without any discussion the best Czech ski resort. Are there any future investments
to the ski area, local infrastructure, etc.?
Bohumir Zeman: There is a unique project of building a new parking terminal in Spindleruv Mlyn. This place would also served as a central point for reaching any slope in the
ski area including new ones that are planned to grow up at Hromovka and Medvedin. We also consider to run a new cable lift connecting areas Hromovka and Medvedin and finally, we intend to set up a new hotel facility just at the World Cup race area in Svaty Petr.

Question: The Czech alpine skiing has made very
significant progress in recent years. Do you see that fact as one of the strongest arguments why the World Cup should make its comeback to Spindleruv Mlyn?
Bohumir Zeman: I agree absolutely. Our team had five skiers on World Cup points in the last season, we scored three World Cup podiums… Sarka Zahrobska is a World Champion
in slalom, she is one of the most popular Czech athletes
at all. Furthermore, the Czech people love skiing, they
understand what is going on in this sport. Therefore I am not afraid to say that our alpine skiing deserves its World Cup race held in the Czech republic!
