A Slalom without Janica Kostelic
The night slalom has been a longstanding national event in Croatia. In the future, the ski holidays will be expanded even further: as of the 2007/08 season, the men will also complete a slalom. In the women's competition, the local hero won´t be there to fulfil the spectators´ expectations because in october she decided to leave out one season to recover from her injuries.
Ski Region Sljeme-Medvednica
The home of Janica and Ivica Kostelic lies along the Slovenian border on the north side of the Medvednica Mountain. "Sljeme," the summit, gives the region its name. The region offers several slopes with varying profiles and levels of difficulty. Modern snow machines ensure snow-covered slopes.
